Panaji, May 6 (PTI) The Hema Malini-starrer `Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi', which revolves around the live of former MP Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia, has been made tax-free in Goa.
"Under powers conferred by sub section (3) of section 5 of the Goa Entertainment Tax act, 1964, Government of Goa is pleased to exempt the Hindi film `Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi' from the liability of payment of entertainment tax in whole," reads a notification issued by under-secretary (finance) Ajit Pawaskar.
The movie is based on a novel written by Goa Governor Mridula Sinha and maps the life of late Scindia, the former Rajmata of Gwalior royal family and an ex-BJP MP.
Besides Hema Malini, it also stars late Vinod Khanna and Sachin Khedekar.
