Global commercial vehicle volumes declined sharply 36% yoy to 18,844 units driven by drop in the domestic demand post production issues due to transition from BS3 to BS4 emission norms. Also pre buying in the month of March 2017 led to weak demand in April 2017.
Global passenger vehicle sales grew 16% yoy to 54,847 units. Tata branded passenger vehicle sales more than doubled to 12,924 units led by new launches. JLR volumes grew marginally 2% yoy to 41,923 units
